Job Details:

Carry out geotechnical design and engineering assessments for foundation systems used in various construction projects and structural applications.

Develop practical engineering solutions for slope stability, landslide control, retaining walls, embankments, ground improvement, and other earth support requirements.

Perform geotechnical and stability analyses by evaluating soil characteristics, groundwater conditions, imposed structural loads, seismic considerations, and other relevant site factors.

Review geotechnical investigation findings, laboratory results, and site information, and prepare detailed technical reports, calculations, and engineering recommendations.

Develop technical specifications, design calculations, and supporting documentation for foundation works, earthworks, ground improvement, and tender-related submissions.

Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, designers, contractors, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure geotechnical requirements are properly integrated into project designs.

Conduct site visits and inspections when required, provide technical guidance during construction, and support the resolution of geotechnical issues arising on site.

Evaluate engineering and site data to identify potential risks, assess design options, and provide practical recommendations that improve project performance and design effectiveness.

Ensure all geotechnical designs and recommendations comply with applicable engineering codes, safety requirements, technical standards, and project specifications.

Keep current with developments in geotechnical engineering, design methods, industry practices, and relevant standards to support ongoing technical improvement.

Review contractor technical submissions, calculations, and proposed methodologies and provide appropriate geotechnical input during project implementation when required.

Job Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.

Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in geotechnical engineering, foundation design, ground engineering, or a comparable position.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required, while experience with GeoSuite or other geotechnical analysis and design software will be considered an advantage.

Ability to manage assigned engineering work independently while also contributing effectively to multidisciplinary project teams.

Strong technical communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a practical and proactive approach to engineering assignments.

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately interpret, evaluate, and analyze geotechnical information, calculations, drawings, and site data.

Willingness to travel to project sites for inspections, surveys, meetings, and technical support during construction or project execution when required.

Good understanding of geotechnical site investigations, soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and related design principles will be considered an advantage.
