Job Details:

Prepare patients for dental procedures and provide direct assistance to the dentist throughout examinations and treatments.

Clean, sterilize, and disinfect dental instruments while ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are prepared before each procedure.

Operate digital dental X-ray equipment and assist with routine imaging procedures as required.

Accurately enter and maintain patient treatment information in medical records, dental charts, or electronic record systems.

Explain post-treatment care instructions to patients based on the dentist’s guidance and ensure they understand the required aftercare.

Provide immediate assistance to the dentist during urgent or emergency dental situations when additional support is needed.

Collect and update patients’ dental histories, medical information, and relevant treatment records accurately.

Manage dental supplies by placing orders, monitoring deliveries, checking stock levels, and ensuring materials are stored correctly.

Clean, maintain, and polish portable dental equipment to keep instruments and equipment in good working condition and ready for use.

Assist with taking dental impressions and support the dentist with X-rays and other procedures involving the patient’s oral structures when required.

Job Experience Requirements

Completed diploma, certificate, or professional training in dental assisting, healthcare, or a related medical field.

Previous experience as a dental assistant, preferably with at least one year of practical experience, will be considered an advantage.

Good knowledge of basic dental procedures, instrument handling, sterilization, and patient care practices.

Strong attention to detail with a responsible and organized approach to maintaining patient records and clinical equipment.
