Accounts Assistant
Overview
Key Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, reconciliations, and ledgers.
Prepare reports, expense schedules, and payment vouchers.
Process and record transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Support audits by providing accurate financial and stock-related documentation.
Prepare financial reports, summaries, and dashboards for review by the Chief Accountant.
Analyze large and complex datasets from accounting and stock systems.
Prepare accurate, clear, and actionable reports for finance and management.
Clean, organize, and format raw financial and stock data for reporting.
Develop dashboards and visualizations to provide insights on sales, stock, and expenses.
Reconcile physical stock with system records and highlight variances.
Assist in monitoring the cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory costing.
Support periodic stock audits, variance analysis, and reporting.
Collaborate with store managers and stock teams to ensure accurate reporting of stock movements.
Help implement stock control procedures to minimize shrinkage and waste.
Education & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
At least 2–3 years’ experience in an accounting role, with exposure to
Stock/inventory management.
Knowledge of stock reconciliation, costing, and reporting.
Proficiency in Excel and other reporting tools.
Flexibility to work in shifts.
